Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Bowling is a very knowledgeable professor. If you ever had a question, she always had an answer. She also valued our time and education and made sure we understood everything that was being taught. Although it was a huge lecture hall (for NKU) she still managed to learn everyone's name and had the entire classroom engaged.

    Course highlights:

This is a general knowledge course, but it was taught very in depth. It was very interesting, as it started with the smallest units of life and how they function. This course meets the heresy knowledge requirement for most STEM degrees.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the reading guides and do them BEFORE the lecture. That way, any missing holes can be addressed in the classroom. As long as you read the book and study, it's hard not to pass this class as well as be interested in the subject.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The professor is very good at explaining the complicated subjects of this course which is very helpful for laying the foundation of biology classes.

    Course highlights:

What didn't we learn is more like it! There are so many topics that we learned about like how cells work and how living organisms function. Very detailed.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to office hours if you need help.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Bowling is always willing to help so ask as many questions as possible! She makes lab fun as well as informative. She does an amazing job to make sure you have all the materials you need for exams. Do not skip class or lab.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot of good study skills because of the reading guides and quizzes we took in lab. A lot of the labs were interesting to take part in, not just a boring lecture.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to the professor's office hours and always ask questions when you have them.
