    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it prepares you for the very real likelihood that you will have to engage in public speaking in the real world, whether it be in other classroom situations or on-the-job in the business world.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course included a fun learning environment from the professor, Sam Lapin at Northern Kentucky University, as well as plenty practice time in between presentations. He also provided plenty of tips on relieving public speaking related stress and nervousness in order to be more confident during a presentation.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Attend every class, work on presentations early and do not fall behind in order to have the best grade possible and be thoroughly prepared for any exam or speech. Practice your speeches at least five times before the day you must present and practice twice the day of and make sure there are no glitches in your Powerpoint, etc in order to avoid mishaps.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course because it helped me to build up my confidence for when i present in from of my fellow classmates.

    Course highlights:

The Highlight of this course for me was the improve speech we had to give. this was a speech where you had to select a random item from those that were offered and give a speech on it. From this it tought me how to think on the fly and how to stay calm and thing through a situation.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To succed in this course the advise i would give is be sure to put plenty of time into designing and perfecting your outline of the speech. If you have a good outline and plan then when you stand up toi give the speech there is nothing that you have to worry about.
