    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course may seem hard in a way. It takes hard work and dedication to take this class, but if you are dedicated enough and know majoring in biology is what you want, this is the course for you. I haven't had any experience in Biology, rather than science in general, it is not at all as hard as it seems. You just have to be willing to study and focus, rather than blowing it off at last minute. You will not pass if you wait an hour before or the day before. This class is scheduled in the morning as well, so if you're not active in class don't take it.

    Course highlights:

I struggled but I know that the next time around I will know how to study. I learned about photosynthesis, cells, and just basics of biology.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Do not push it off till last minute, study. You cannot whatsoever do it at last minute. You have to be willing to give up your time to do this. Don't give up easy make it a goal.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course provides the foundation of knowledge that students will need in order to be successful in future biology courses. The professor is very helpful at selecting the important information to study and know for future course success.

    Course highlights:

I personally enjoyed the information on mutations. Cancer is a serious issue and this course does a great job at exposing students to various topics (such as cancerous mutations, cell structure, cellular communication, genetics, and population genetics) that could guide and shape the student's career path and plan.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Make flash cards based upon your notes and be thorough. Do not leave out detail because fill in the blank questions can be difficult but the flash cards will help you study. Also, study for the exams a few days or possibly a week in advanced. Having a study partner can also be beneficial when studying for exams.
