This class was tough.
The class is very challenging and the material is hard. You will have to study a minimum of 20 hours a week, but this course is amazing. Dr. Alexander is very straightforward and he gives you the lecture notes in both powerpoint form and a PDF file of the main points for the course so you do not have to take many hand-written notes.
You will be hammered with a lot of material, but it is guaranteed if you are a Bio major you will find something in the course interesting. I took away a lot from the animal stuff covered because I want to work with animals as an ecologist.

Advice for students:
Definitely be prepared for a minimum of 15 hours of studying a week for this class so I would recommend taking some easier classes with this class and DEFINITELY do not take Bio 244 (the lab for Bio 240 and 242) with either of the classes because it is a tough class due to pure memorization of terms and concepts.
