    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a good introduction to microbiology for those pursuing a pre-health profession.

    Course highlights:

This course stressed the eukaryotes that are most likely encountered by someone in a healthcare field.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

This course requires time. The professor will ask questions varying from minute-detail based to extensive synthesis questions. Her exams are difficult and she is proud of that.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Atlas is a wonderful professor who has a great understanding for what he teaches. His passion for the subject of microbiology is very evident and makes you care about the subject as well. He even has his own Ted Talks over various topics and is the head of the Department of Biology.

    Course highlights:

I learned that microbiology is much bigger than just science. It accounts for the well being of our citizens and has a lot to do with politics. My favorite thing about this course was listening to all of Dr. Atlas' stories about his activism for the common welfare throughout his career.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Record his lectures because he doesn't have PowerPoint's so you have to take all your own notes and listen very carefully so you don't miss anything. Another great tip would just make sure you go to class because he often gives out test questions during lectures.
