Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Ross is amazing and makes learning fun and easy. I would highly recommend taking her for this GenEd course. Dr. DeMarco and Dr. Edlin also team teach the course with her, and they're both great as well.

    Course highlights:

I have a personal interest in psychology, but overall it has prepared me for future classes as a nursing major. I learned a lot about history of psychology, memory, learning, brain functions and neuroscience, as well as abnormal psychology.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The LaunchPas activities might seem like a pain, but they are handy for reviewing for tests. Also, my number one tip is to so the SI practice tests and worksheets before exams. They're identical to the real exam.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor made it very interesting and fun to learn about parts of psychology I never considered fun.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were the professor's jokes, and I learned about how the brain handles things.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely go to class everyday. They have clicker questions and that alone is 10% of your grade. Other than that: study.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I'd highly recommend this course to anyone interested in learning an overview of psychology. The course is a team-taught course, rotating among three different professors. Each of them have their own teaching style but they're all great. They really explain the material in a way that makes it easier to understand, and provide you with some real-life application as well.

    Course highlights:

I gained a general knowledge of what psychology is and the different components that create it. In this introductory course, you'll start off with some history about psychology and thn make your way into human and brain function. It is very interesting and I can't wait to take more in depth psychology courses.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Going to the reviews with the SI leaders helped tremendously. They reiterate what you learned in class and help explain it in a way that makes it a lot clearer. They're also there for any questions you had that you may not have wanted to ask in the 300+ student lecture.
