    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

While the course is very easy, there is minimal support from the university and the professor. The recorded lectures did not help with my understanding of the material. It was essentially self-taught.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to learn chemistry. I spent the first two weeks trying to read each chapter from start to finish but later began with the practice problems in the back of the chapter, finding the answers in the text as I went along. This allowed me to make much more sense of the material.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Start with the questions at the end of the chapter. You are provided with half of the answers. This work should prepare you for the Sapling homework assignments. The quizzes are much easier than the homework. To study for the final, I simply took screen shots of all of the quizzes and worked the problems with less and less book-help until I got all of them right with no help. The exam does not exactly resemble the quizzes but it is about the same difficulty so this method should help to focus your preparation.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Franco is a great teacher, funny, understanding and easy to pay attention to, although she does have a strong accent. she also does pop quizzes so that was kind of stressful!

    Course highlights:

Getting through it in the end with a good grade.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are not ready to study you need to take a different course, you will be studying a lot. If you don't understand something she is very understanding and will help you with whatever you need, so just ask her do not be afraid.

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Great professor who wants to see everyone succeed and provides multiple opportunities for success to happen.

    Course highlights:

Great intro chemistry course. Refreshes everything learned in high school that may have been forgotten. As well as teaches you new material that will be needed to continue studies within the sciences.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to speak up during class if you are confused and attend the SI or reach sessions offered.
