    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would not recommend this class with Dr. Atchely. I found her to be highly unorganized and predictably late each class. This particular class was from 9am-9:50am. When the teacher doesn't arrive until 9:15 and proceeds to spend another 10 minutes taking roll and getting settled, little time is left to actually have a lecture and learn anything. Because she is so disorganized, her lectures are disorganized. she jumps from section to section, making illegible notes on the board. Several times students questioned her and she had a meltdown. I was taken aback. You will do well in the course if you study on your own, take notes as best as you can under the circumstances and complete all projects on time.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to prepare and deliver and informational speech. Other than that, I can't say that I really came away from the class with anything useful. I learned that I don't work well in group projects when my grade depends on the participation of everyone and everyone doesn't want to participate.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you take this class with this teacher, I can't stress enough how important it is to study the book and take notes in class as best as you can. She will go over the quizzes. Write down the answers to the quizzes, because many of the test questions are pulled from the quizzes word for word. It will be your responsibility to learn much of the information on your own because her teaching methods are so scattered and ineffective.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

She was an amazing teacher. In Speech most of the time you feel nervous, but she always made everyone feel comfortable. She made the class exciting and I was so happy to go to her class.

    Course highlights:

This class really helped me with public speaking. She taught us tricks on how to be more comfortable in front the class or public. Now, when I have to speak in front of others, I'm more comfortable.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it, be opened-minded, take what she says and use it in the future.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Russell is there to help, and so supportive. It's a speech class all of us are nervous, but she's there with positive feedback. I would definitely recommend taking her course!

    Course highlights:

I did not realize the various aspects of speech. It's not just about talking at a podium to a group of people. In the course you learn about different ways to approach things, and also an insight to the way people respond and act.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the reading that is required. There are tips given on how to present a speech, write them down and practice them! They are a huge help.
