Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend Dr. Genarro because he is a bright spirit who teaches history in a way that makes you think about life today.

    Course highlights:

I gained knowledge of this theory called "panopticism" by Foucault. This explained a prison shaped in a circle that has one small tower in the middle with the lights on. Because the lights are on, the prisoners cannot see whether a guard is in there or not, so they behave just in case. But in actuality, a guard really isn't there and that is a way for them to self govern themselves rather than being forced to. A real world example is cameras at traffic lights. We never fully know if they work, but just in case, we will not run that light. That is a way of self government.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class. You will not learn if you come on the last day expecting to pass the final. Coming to class is imperative to learning and building on that knowledge given.
