Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course. This course is key to enhancing students' writing skills. Students are able to learn new things step by step to help them to become better at writing. Another thing that's great a about this course is that the topics that are chosen for papers allow students to learn and have fun at the same time. Students are able to use their creativity and knowledge to write outstanding papers. When these papers are submitted, students are able to give one another feedback as well as to receive feedback from the professor to make changes for the better. Class discussions about what is learned is very important because students are able to learn from one another and reply to each other about what they learned. Participating in class discussions is required and applying everything that is learned from these along with reading assignments increases the chances for students to receive A's. Taking this course will also prepare students for other things, such as interviews because it teachers students how to make better word choices, which is an important factor in interviews. I promise that no student will regret taking this course.

    Course highlights:

I have definitely gained some things from taking this course. My writing skills have definitely improved, and my level of creativity has risen. As far as my writing skills go, I have learned to make better word choices, not to be too wordy, and to be more concise. Word choice is important because it gives readers a clearer perspective of what is being written. Getting to the point as quick as possible is also very important because if a writer waits takes too long to do this, then it can throw the whole paper off making it hard for the reader to follow along. As far as creativity goes, I have learned to become more open-minded. At first, I found writing the essays given to be difficult because I never knew what to say. My shyness and overthinking is what held me back. I knew that I had to do the assignments, so I began to loosen up and not think as hard. This enabled me to set my mind free while writing. I am so thankful for this course, and any student taking this course will be thankful as well.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

There are many things for me to advise to students considering this course. My first piece of advice to any student considering this course is to be able to take critiques because it is meant to help students with bettering their assignments. I would also advise students to always participate in class discussions because students can learn so much from this and apply what they learn to their writing. Plus, it is graded. Another piece of advice that I would like to give students is to not be afraid to ask questions because there is at least one person willing to help. To me, the most important piece of advice that I want to share is not to be afraid to set your minds free. The whole point of this course is to better writing skills by using topics that are relatable to students. Always keep an open mind because keeping a closed mind will make writing papers difficult. You will have no idea what you want to say and how you want to say it. This can also decrease a students chances of getting an A. All students have to do is follow this advice, and the course will be absolutely no problem.

I would recommend it because if you have a passion to learn more and read your life away this would be the career course for you. This class was very interesting and the professor was a awesome teacher.

    Course highlights:

I learned to evaluate things more and that life is really all about understanding. I learned that you are not a good reader until you can read and understand what you are reading.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to work to the best of your ability.
