    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Very thorough class! This knowledge is needed in many fields. It will help nurses, nursing assistants, pharmacy tech, science teacher, social workers, medic, counselor, etc. By learning how to use medical terms in your field it will enable you to have a comprehensible conversation that will assist in treatment of the person.

    Course highlights:

I learned prefixes, suffixes, combining words abbreviations, standard abbreviations for medical terms, the relationship between medical terms and common words, and the ability to determine the meaning of an unfamiliar word / phrase by analyzing components of the word.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study. Know the difference between, suffix, affix, and prefix. Learn the abbreviations. Very valuable information. Practice until it becomes ingrained in your memory.
