Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because Professor Comeaux really focuses on the basics of writing. If you were an A student in your composition class this will probably be more of a review course. We focused on different types of essays (argumentative, personal experience, visual argument, expository, and definition); the importance of Ethos, Pathos, and Logos; and peer revision.

    Course highlights:

In this course, I learned how to be a better writer. Through peer reviews and class discussion, my writing skills improved. I also learned many different types of essays and when to use which kind.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

My number one piece of advice would be to find a tutor. At ULL, the Writing Center was very helpful. I came to them with each of my rough and final drafts. The students and graduates working there help you with your paper. It is great for final word checking or just figuring out which paragraphs are best in which order. I went to the writing center especially if I was not sure how to start a certain type of paragraph. Another piece of advice I have is make sure your thesis statement is clear and strong. Professor Comeaux really looks for errors in the thesis and how each paragraph relates back to it.
