    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because even though it is about music it still has base root to a lot of things. Music has been able to help me in math and has created a way for me to actually do better in the subject.

    Course highlights:

The hightlights of this course was being able to learn more about music. I love music and have since I was a child and being able to know the fundamental bases to it is amazing.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Even if you do well on all the tests, just make sure to do your final because it counts for more then it seems.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

When I registered for this course, I thought to myself " Great I love music" this is going to be a great elective that I may really enjoy. But that old saying " don't judge a book by it cover" applies here, I should not have judged a course by it's title. It goes back to the advice I gave, I should have taken my time, researched the course and asked other students about it before enrolling and maybe I would have found out it was nothing that I was expecting it to be. Not taking anything away for the professor, the material or the curriculum it just was not for me, and now in hind-sight I see that I may have been a waste of my time for what I really want to purse going forward with my education.

    Course highlights:

It was not all bad, I did learn a new appreciation for the art of music, where it comes from and what it actually takes to compose a great piece of music. I was exposed to the history of art and the course helped to broaden my horizons to the different types of music and how it relates to different cultures and time periods.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take notes and take it seriously. There is a lot of material to remember and the more you have to reference the better. I would also say that if you are considering this course get your rest , it may get a little boring. Also music should really be a passion for someone taking this class, if you are passionate about what you are learning, the more you will want to learn and the more you will pay attention.
