Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend the course because it changes the way you view other people and their cultures. It gives you the opportunity to communicate with other students with different views than yours, and the ability to discuss these views openly.

    Course highlights:

I learned that you can disagree with another person but still have the ability to talk about the topic without an argument. I also learned that understanding other cultures around is more important than most people think.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You definitely need to keep up with the discussion forums that the teacher assigns, and make sure to express your thoughts clearly to other classmates. Make sure to actually read the assigned text and watch the videos before responding in a discussion so you're completely informed.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course we really easy if you read the books. They're not hard and really interesting. If you can't get through books that are not strictly novel based I would expect this class to be more of a applying yourself class for you. Also, Prof Striffler always gave study guides for the test. So a test was not on the entire book but instead key points in the book.

    Course highlights:

The group project was fun. We also watched a few videos that really pulled you in and helped you to understand better what may be going on in a country. Plus, the students in the class were very diverse. So the discussion after a video or book were very insightful.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Reading always helps and talking with other student in the class is very eye-opening.
