A management consultant said strategic leaders are concerned with vision and mission, while strategic managers are concerned with strategy. Do you agree? Discuss.
I disagree with the assertion that strategic leaders are only concerned with vision and purpose, and strategic managers are concerned with strategy. Strategic leaders guarantees that there are the goals for organizations. Strategic leadership is an element of strategic management and the ultimate outcome is close. They all want the business to see prosperity and growth. The biggest distinction lies in the framework used to accomplish these efforts. Managers work with money, and people are motivated by leaders (Jabbar & Hussein, 2017).
A vision states whatever the company aspires to be, in the potential. By explaining that the organization operates and what role it performs in society, a mission represents the history and current of the organization. Strategic leadership involves the willingness of a manager to articulate the organization or a part of the company with a strategic vision to inspire and convince people to acquire the vision. In the management of staff, strategic leadership may also be described as using policy (Fontana & Musa, 2017).
The serious job of working out how to transform vision and purpose into reality is strategic management. The policy is a broad action plan that outlines the deployment of money and other environmental activities and helps the organisation accomplish its objectives. Strategy varies, like vision, but effective organizations develop plans that rely on core expertise, develop synergies, and build value for clients. A noble intent that attracts followers and lets the company retain a competitive edge is framed by successful leaders (Höglund, Et al, 2017).
