Activity 1-1: Resetting Your Virtual Environment

 

Time Required: 5 minutes

Objective: Reset your virtual environment by applying the InitialConfig checkpoint or snapshot.

Required Tools and Equipment: ServerSA1

Description: Apply the InitialConfig checkpoint or snapshot to ServerSA1.

 

  1. Be sure ServerSA1 is shut down. In your virtualization program, apply the InitialConfig checkpoint or snapshot to ServerServerSA1.
  2. When the snapshot or checkpoint has finished being applied, continue to the next activity.

To shutdown your server VM, you can shut it down using the Windows shutdown on the start menu, or you can do it on your Hyper-V or VMware window. 

 

To save the initial configuration of your VM, right click on the VM and click on Checkpoint. Once the checkpoint is done, your VM does not give the option to revert back to the saved configuration.
