Here is a tip:

Emotions can positively and negatively affect performance.

  • Emotional intelligence refers to the capacity of an individual to process and control their personal emotions as well as the emotions of other people. High emotional mastery enables leaders and subordinates to become aware of their emotions and manage them. Further mastery allows for them to understand and manage other people's emotions.
  • Emotions have to be controlled because they can affect the performance of individuals and teams. Positive emotions are managed so that they can motivate others. Negative emotions are handled to prevent conflicts and low commitment to work.

Sample Response

Emotional qualities help leaders and subordinates process positive and negative emotions to improve performance. Leaders and subordinates can manage and release anger, stress, and other negative emotions in a peaceful manner when they have high emotional intelligence.
