What is a touch cascade?
Touch cascade is a type of event handling mechanism adopted by the mobile operating system. In the touch cascade, the mobile browser examines the touched element and determines an event handler for various events that include mouse events. Touch cascade begins with touchstart, touchend events followed by a series of mouse events such as mouseover, mousemove, mousedown, mouseup and click.
The mobile operating system responds to events caused on clickable elements such as forms and links on a web app using a touch cascade.
