Explanation

An information system is designed for collecting, processing, and storing the information. It includes people, procedures, and tasks. These tasks are carried out by people using certain procedures. For instance, transaction processing system.

A computer application is also called as app, which is a software program that is designed to meet certain specific requirements or a specific purpose. For instance, any game app in a mobile or any online shopping app.
