What is the role of the police in our society?

The police play a role in maintaining law and order in society by performing the duty of protecting the individuals, their property, reducing crime fear, and preventing crime occurrences, which in turn improves the individual's life quality.

The police in our society play the role of maintaining law and order by performing patrols, handling emergency duties, unlawful prevention activities, and providing guidance and advice to society individuals concerning various matters.

  • Performing patrols as carried out by the police in society makes it possible to respond to various incidents and prevent crimes.
  • Handling of emergency issues is an activity carried out by the police, and as a result, it ensures the peace of the society members is not interfered with.
  • Unlawful activities such as robberies are prevented by the police, thus maintaining law and order in society.
  • Advice and guidance are provided by the police whenever the society members face challenges that require to be intervened by the police and thus reduce the severity of the issue arising, therefore promoting peace and order in the society.

When there is law and order in the society as enforced by the police, the community can live in peace and harmony.
