Writing assignment directions
As noted in the course syllabus, your writing assignment will focus on your work with
SAP and its relationship to other topics we’ve discussed in Acc 305. The purpose of
this handout is to explain the nature of the assignment and the criteria I’ll use to
evaluate it.
Assignment description
You’ll be completing your writing assignment outside of class using Blackboard. Within
the time window specified both in Blackboard and your syllabus, you’ll log onto
Blackboard and open the “writing quiz.” Blackboard will randomly select one of the
following questions for your writing assignment:

Your job will be to respond to the assigned question in 200 – 300 words. You’ll be able
to use whatever books, notes and outside materials you’d like in responding to the
question, but you will not be able to access such materials via the Internet.

will choose for you, you may want to prepare for the quiz by responding to this practice
question:
During a job interview, the recruiter notes on your resume that you’ve
done some work with SAP. The recruiter asks you how SAP is useful in
accounting. Prepare a 100 – 200 word response for the recruiter.
