{y= (1/2)(x-3)^{2 }+ 4

{y=-(1/2)(x-1)^{2} + 6

(1/2)(x-3)^{2 }+ 4 = -(1/2)(x-1)^{2} + 6

I don't know how to solve this at all. Can someone explain to me how to solve it algebraically? And then what do I do to verify the solution
