a)  Calculate each of the following

b)  Use your understanding of FEV1 and FVC from the Youtube video and lecture PPT I posted on Tuesday and also from PhysioEx to calculate this patient's FEV1 percentage of FVC.


c)   Assume that TLC is normally 6.0 L. Explain how this patient's condition can result in a lower TLC. In your answer be sure to appropriately use both anatomical and physiological material from this unit.


d)  Suppose that the patient's air flow rate is normal. Using what you know about the anatomy and physiology of the lung, explain how her myasthenia gravis can result in lowered lung volumes and capacities, but not affect her air flow.
