Hello, I have the following question 5^x-3=2^x

I solved it many times and I keep getting two different soluions x=5.2694164 and x=5.25

I don't understand why I keep getting two results, can you try and see what you get? I can share how i got to both solutions if you need me to, thanks!

- Hello tutor, thanks for replying to comment but the question was 5 elevated to x-3 equals 2 elevated to x. In other words 5^x-3=2^x

- (x-3)log5 = xlog2, or x(log5-log2) = 3log5, or x*log(5/2) = log125, or x = log(125)/log(2.5), x = 5.2694
