I am doing an online school program, and I am learning about rate and collision theory in my chemistry class. I read through all of the examples about the method of initial rates, but I do not understand how they are setting up their equations. I already know that rate = k[A]^x * [B]^y. However, when I look at what they are doing, I do not understand where they are plugging everything in. Could somebody please walk me through this? Thank you!
