6. What is the molar mass of Ba(NO2)2?
aaq . 3a/3 1mo )
How many individual nitrite ions exist in 2.5 mmol of Ba(NO2)27 Recall that one mole of a species
contains 6.022 x 1023 individual entities.
What is the concentration of Ba(NO2)2 if 2.94 g of Ba(NO2)2 is dissolved in 250.0 mL of water?
9. What is the concentration of NO2 in the solution prepared in #8 above?
10. Consider the balanced equation:
2 NaCl + Pb(NO3)2 -> PbCl2 + 2 NaNO3
If 0.42 mol of NaCl and an excess of Pb(NO3)2 are mixed, how many moles of PbCl2 will be formed?
11. A rectangular shaped bathtub was filled with 437 kg of water at 40C. If the length of the tub is
211 cm while the width is 6.5x105 um, what is the depth of the water knowing that the density of
water is 992.2 kg/m3 at this temperature?
Recall that 1 cm? =1 mL.

  • As 1 mol of Ba(NO2)2 contains 2 nitrite ions, concentration of nitrite ins will be twice as concentration of Ba(NO2)2, i.e 2 x 0.051 mol/L = 0.102 mol/L
