Go to "File" Load an assignment Acids and Bases Method of Successive Dilutions.
On your workbench assemble the following stock solution and glassware: a
1 M HCI Erlenmeyer flask,
five 100 mL volumetric flasks (right click on each and label them Solutions 1
through 5)
a 10 mL pipet and the
distilled water container.

Preparing Solution 1: with the pipet draw 10 mL of the 1M HCI solution. Dispense
the acid from the pipet into the "Solution 1" volumetric flask and fill with the
necessary amount of water to make a 100 mL solution. (How much water do you

Remove the 1M HCI Erlenmeyer flask from your workbench (so that you don't
accidentally use it again).
3. Preparing Solution 2: Pipet 10 mL of solution 1 into solution 2 and dilute to the
100.0 mL mark. Fill with the necessary amount of water to make a 100 mL solution.

Preparing Solutions 3, 4, and 5: Consecutively pipet 10 mL from the previously
prepared solution into the next volumetric flask and fill with enough water to make a
100 mL solution each time.
