A $20 million cost plus fixed fee contract has been awarded to DEZ, Inc. for engineering modifications. The decision was made during pre-award to require certified cost or pricing data. The owner of DEZ reached out to you recently with a problem he is having getting cost or pricing data from T-Square, LLC. DEZ, Inc. would like to award a $4 million subcontract to T-Square. T-Square and DEZ are often competitors on government contracts. T-Square is refusing to provide its proprietary cost or pricing data to DEZ. What will you do?
Tell DEZ that unfortunately it needs to subcontract with another firm because certified cost or pricing data are required on this contract.
Follow the procedures in PGI 215.404-3 to provide field pricing assistance
Arrange for DoD to review T-Square's proprietary data and furnish a range of unacceptable costs to DEZ for each element
Allow T-Square to submit its cost or pricing data directly to the government
