Individual assignment:-

1, Find a current article about managing data and write a 1-to 2-page paper discussing the article and its relevance to this week's individual assignment.

Assignment: Use the database and tables from the Week Two assignment and insert records into the Employee table for workers identified in the employee files for the Del Mar and Encinitas stores. Select all columns from all tables via a single join query to show 17 employee records and their associated jobs and EEO-1 classifications.

Write SQL SELECT queries using BETWEEN, LIKE, and UNION. Write SQL queries that do the following:

•Joins two tables in your Kudler database and uses BETWEEN to restrict record selection. Use salary to restrict data to employees earning an hourly salary (or its equivalent) between $6 and $10.

•Joins two tables in your Kudler database and uses BETWEEN to restrict record selection. Use hire dates to restrict data to employees hired between 01/01/2003 and 12/31/2003.

•Joins two tables in your Kudler database and uses LIKE to restrict record selection. Use telephone area codes to restrict data to employees with a telephone area code that contains a 6 somewhere in the number.

•Joins two tables in your Kudler database and uses LIKE to restrict record selection. Use age to restrict data to employees in their 20s.

•Uses the UNION of two tables to produce a third table using either SELECT...INTO to persist the table or just a SELECT to show the output of the UNION.

Use your current database to write the following queries, using the SQL GROUP or ORDER statement to sort the results of your query as described below. Each query results should always have the same number of records as you have in your employee table.

•Select employees' last names and EEO-1 classifications and group them by EEO-1 classification.

•Select employees' last names and salaries and group them by salary.

•Select employees' last names, salaries, and EEO-1 classifications and group them by salary within their EEO-1 classification.

•Select employees' last names, salaries, job titles, and job exemption statuses and group them by salary within job titles, grouped within exempt and non-exempt status.

Complete "Creating Stored Procedures in SQL Server 2012," of the SkillSoft course, "Microsoft SQL Server 2012 - Developing Databases: Stored Procedures." Assignment: Use the database and tables from the Week Three assignment to write SQL queries using the SQL SELECT statement. Select all data from all tables before you perform the following: · Increase all employees' salaries with a single EEO-1 classification by 10 percent. · Increase all employees' salaries by 5 percent. · Choose an employee from the Employee table and delete that employee. Write one SQL SELECT statement for each requirement listed below (five total queries): · Calculate the minimum and maximum salary for all employees in a single query. · Calculate the minimum and maximum salaries grouped by exempt and non-exempt employees in a single query. · Calculate the minimum salary for exempt employees and the maximum salary for non- exempt employees in a single query. · Calculate the average salary for hourly employees and annual employees in a single query. · Calculate the count of employees assigned to jobs with an EEO-1 classification of Sales Worker.
