APPLE’S STRATEGY 2 Apple’s strategy Apple Inc makes use of diverse business strategies and replicas in the marketplace. Apple strategy for a long time now has been releasing its high end products in small doses. The litigation strategy has been successful for Apple making it the leading mobile phone company across the globe. Apple has been very keen when releasing its products to the market by giving room for long development cycle of the product s that increases anticipation among the company’s customer base (Betz, 2001). The strategy that was highly practiced by Steve Jobs was successful in turning product market niches into large markets that consume Apple products. Apple Inc has been outstanding when compared to other mobile companies by following on a strategy aimed at creating and producing to the market new products that involve both art and new technologies (Lashinsky, 2012). Technology has enabled setting up a simple user experience that has skyrocketed the company to become the leader in Smartphone products. Apple has been able to gain a large following that has gone beyond the successful iPhone release through continuous innovation in smartphones that has extended to tablets (Betz, 2001). The company has set a long development cycle strategy that has ensured production of one large innovation in every cycle. The strategy has seen Apple produce its products in a yearly selling period while at the same time marketing the models that were released earlier at a slightly lower price. Reference
