CRITERIA FOR SHORT STORY WRITING Criteria The scenarios of the story blended toge'dter and had enough imaginative progress that kept the reader's attention throughout the story. The message of the story gradually emerged from the plot and beautifiilly harmonized with the storyline and characters that makes the story incomplete without the others. The characters are clearly described through dialogues and actions, engaging with one another, and are thoroughly developed throughout the story. Portrays the setting clearly and precisely, allowing the reader to deeply immerse themselves in the time and place of the scene. Vocabulary is appropriate in understanding the setting and characters of the story. The grammar and language are realistic for the storyline as well. The story does not feel forced and is still intriguing despite the lack of plot twists for enhancement. It contains unnecessary scenarios which makes the pacing of the story weak. The author failed to relay the theme as the message of the story is not consistent. There are no developments seen in the characters. Stereotypical characteristics are also observed which may be a good or bad thing for the story. The reader cannot visualize the time and place because the setting is inaccurate and rarely described. The story is terribly written and is difficult to read since words are misused and the vocabulary is limited. Grammatical, spelling, and typographical errors are also seen in the story. passive voice, which causes the awkward flow of text. Cliched metaphors and similes are used. Total (Maximum of 30 points)
