They meet for a vacation in State L, where they marry. Each of them returns to their respective state. Shaun starts looking for employment in State Y. Helen starts looking for employment in State X. They plan to make their home in whichever state the other can find employment in first. After nearly a year, they decide it is not going to work and decide to divorce. State J has very lenient rules about dissolution of marriage and does not even require an appearance in person. Both agree to seek their divorce in State J. Which state(s) have subject matter jurisdiction? Which state(s) do not have subject matter jurisdiction? Please explain why.
