I can't seem to understand the question :( I don't know what formulas to use. Can someone please help me with this.

Problem-1:

A dwelling unit is supplied by a single-phase, 240-volt service. The electric load of the unit

includes:

(1) 7,000-VA water heater, 240 volts; (2) 500-VA vent fan, 240 volts;

(3) 1,200-VA compactor, 240 volts; (4) 7,500-VA dryer, 240 volts.

Each appliance is served by one branch protected by a circuit breaker.

(a) Determine the rating and the number of poles of each circuit breaker.

(b) Assuming that all the appliances have the same power factor, estimate the minimum percent

unbalanced current between the two phases
