For these 2 questions, determine which single-transistor amplifier configuration you would use, and why. Choose the best answer from those given. For some questions, it's possible more than one answer is accepted. The sign of the gain doesn't matter. A voltage amplifier with gain = 50 dB and Rin = 1 MS. O CE. High gain and high Rin needs CE or CS, and this gain is too high for CS. An unbypassed RE will supply the high Rin. OCS. High gain and high Rin needs CE or CS, and this Rin is too high for CE. O High gain and high Rin needs CE or CS, either would work equally well here. Not possible to get this high a gain and this high an Rin with a single-transistor amplifier.

A voltage buffer with gain as close to one as possible, Rin 2 100 ko with RLoad = 2 ko, and Rout $ 100 0. OCS. With a low RD to give the low gain, a CS would meet these specifications with the easiest design. O CC. CC or CD is suited for this application, but CC will give a gain closer to one, lower Rout, and the specified Rin is easily achievable. CC or CD is suited for this application, and either would work equally well here. O CD. CC or CD is suited for this application, but CD is better for the high Rin.
