I am writing an essay on violence for my English literature class. I need help to write my essay and I also need a strong intro.

This is what i came up with so far:

Violence is a common theme seen in “Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, An American Slave” by Frederick Douglass and “This Way to the Gas Chamber, Ladies and Gentlemen” by Borowski. Both narrators talk from a first person point of view as they both experience violence in their life.  Douglass talks about the time when he grows up as a slave and what he had to face, while Borowski talks about the situation in Auchzitch where Jewish people were taken to the concentration camp to suffer and die.  We live in a world where there is always some kind of violence and injustice against people.
