Cara Paivre, Senior Manager Management and Development Group, requires you to produce a memo that can be sent to all employees notifying them of the cancelation of an employee program. Paivre provides you with the information to include in the message below.
Hi,
produce an all employee memo. Make it from me. We have to terminate the Employee Exercise Rebate. PricewaterhouseCoopers pioneered the concept of healthy living rebates for its employees in 2016, and the most recent Exercise Rebate is one of four $150 annual cash rebates available to all PwC employees at head office. Senior managers and above received an additional $100 on their rebates. Up to this point, employees would receive a rebate from the company upon submitting proof of purchase of exercise equipment or health club memberships. The executive mulled it over but, in the end, decided we could no longer offer this service.
Because some employees abused the privilege, we must terminate the program. We regret that we must take this action, but we discovered some individuals were buying home exercise equipment and club memberships as presents for friends and family. In one case an employee was let go for using the rebate to purchase equipment he then sold for profit. We also had complaints from administration. The processing of rebates was time-consuming given the inefficient way they were submitted. To continue the service would have caused ongoing trouble. We decided the more logical step would be to drop the rebate entirely. As a result we have been forced to consider alternatives. We have hired several qualified instructors and in the new year classes in yoga, aerobics and Ti Chi will be offered ever week day at noon and at 5:00. These will be free to all employees. The classes will be held in the building. More information will be forthcoming. The contact for this is Jennifer, not individual department managers. Employees should send questions to her.
We'll all really sorry about cutting back on our employee program. Employees may still collect a rebate for this year. They need to submit documentation by the beginning of December, so there's lots of time. This year will be the last exercise rebate in operation. Next January we will switch to an on-site exercise offering as described above.

The President, Anne Sado, and Board of Governors at George Brown College have allocated funds for discretionary expenditure in each academic Division. They are soliciting recommendations from students for how best to spend the allocated resources. As a student in a business program you will be able to address the needs from your own experience. Consider areas of concern for students at the Centre for Business, and so for the Centre itself, and target a single specific application. Identify either a problem or a missed opportunity, and provide a solution.
