 Why students should be allowed to use technology in class.

For many years, learning has been closely  connected with putting down a text or just writing. Instructors have been taking down their lectures while students had been taking down notes from their respective teachers. Through the help of a ballpoint pen  this process has been successful but it has not shown any difference  from the times of parchments and goose feathers. Very useful information passed from one person to another must be well  and securely recorded. With emergence of modern technology like the mobile phones and portable  laptops, the  use of the normal ways of recording educational data has become much outdated. Different institutions from different countries have prohibited the use of electronic gadgets in classrooms even though there are many  proposals  i favor of using them.

 

The reality is that writing in modern days is not as much as it used to be several years ago. Students who are majorly teenagers  finds it much comfortable and easy typing in their gadgets  than handwriting  which happens to be slower and tiresome. The information recorded in an electronic  gadget becomes more easily readable even when written  very fast in accordance to the  instructors speed than when hand written. Typing information in a laptop  helps in recording your notes in more accurately way than when doing it on a writing material. Laptops are more specialized as they do away with all the grammatical  errors in your content. 

 

The youth has also familiarized itself with technology such that they happen to operate less efficiently  without it. Students are used to such gadgets as the laptops, smartphone and even the tablets and they  normally involve them in everything they do, may it be leisure or even studying. Prohibiting such materials in class means to  strip  them of something  which has become part of their daily lives. Why forbid young minds from  using technology  to their advantage and increase learning  effectiveness?

 

The use of technology makes  the learning process more  engaging, instinctive and fluent. This applies as many instructors like  o explain their lectures  with diagrams, interactive graphics or photographs. When the students have this gadgets in class, the teacher will only need to share to them using their respective  emails. To young  students who value their time and freedom to increase  effectiveness, laptops could change the way of studying by the teacher providing them with the required information in their  gadgets to study at home  and later meet up for a discussion.

 

We are at the 21st century  and its very hard  to keep following to the old moves which  each day brings more new innovations. Education is and should not be an exception to these procedures of  of fast  evolution or change; normal methods are quickly becoming  outdated. Learners should  this days need  to get these innovations  effortlessly  included in their  learning process. Allowing them to use electronic gadgets in class  would be tiny issue with a very great life changing  effective. Current students are digital indigenous, and can very easily convert technology to a substantial advantage. Not only the notes taking via the gadgets, the students could adopt new studying  forms like  the remote studying.
