What is research and its purpose in academic writing? What qualifies as effective research?
Research can be defined as the search for knowledge, or as any systematic investigation and to
reach new conclusions. Research teaches methods of discovery, investigative skills, and how to
develop inquiry-based techniques. When we do research we learn to think critically, and
logically. The purpose of academic writing teaches us to be discipline and follow rules that
require us to citie sources and references. An effective research is one that achieves this
objective effectively. We can develop different guidelines for effective research in different
subject area. We have to decide on the type of data you need and how you will collect it.
Explain basic research terminology and the various directions of research?
The basic research terminology helps us to understand how to read and interpret scholarly
journal articles so you can more effectively apply what you learn. This knowledge is even more
essential when you are gathering facts about what is already known. There are several different
basic terminology
