The Mughal Empire had many key features that defined the period. One of its greatest achievements is one that many of us have heard of called the Taj Mahal, which is still a historic piece of architecture. A major feature of the empire was its sound stability leading to economic prosperity for the period. The Mughal's excelled in its ability maintain power in Eurasia. The Mughal's accomplished this by "the mutual interaction of trade, finance, and military power" (Pardesi) allowing for the economic growth of the Empire. In fact, the Mughal's were known to use the threat of military power more often than a full out escalation when handling military matters.
The economic prosperity of the Mughal Empire contributed to the creation of many wonderful building and tombs which embraced Muslim religion. The buildings also displayed "divine approval of Mughal rule" (Steusand, 3) and were a credit to the true power of the Mughal rule during the period. The Mughal Empire also is credited with its influence on the arts. The Mughals had a massive impact in Persia and shaped the style of poetry for that region during the 16th and 17th century. They also gave birth to important paintings in the form of Herat and Tabriz. Overall the Mughal's key features were their economic and military power that gave birth to their art and architecture feats that are still famous to this day.
