Read carefully and give one paragraph to explain your answer why.
August 6, 1945 was a day that forever changed the course of history as the United States dropped the first of two Atomic Bombs on Japan in an attempt to end WWII. However, the question of whether or not the use of the bomb was justified is a historical debate that lingers to this day. From a strictly historical perspective, was this use of force in the context of the war a necessary measure, or an excessive one, on the part of the United States? (Please be academic in your response, this is not meant to bring about negativity, but to engage in a rational debate over the issue).
After you answered the question, what was the most interesting topic and what was the most confusing or what do you want to know more about?
