Consider yourself a newly on-boarded performance and reward manager, identify problems that are potentially triggering high turnover, share your plan and prioritise your action points which can help reduce attrition rate by at least 40% at ABC company.



- Mr. Ronnie bought one of the famous food chains called, "Dinewell" operating locally in the heart of New York city. To improve the service quality and taste, Mr. Ronnie decided to induct the most experience and qualified staff to run the operation. His business started losing his customer most significantly, therefore he planned to conduct a general feedback from both internal and external stakeholders to run the root cause analysis.On the other hand, Dinewell was able to successfully on-board the required manpower but unfortunately was not able to achieve his performance targets and desired employee behaviour. Staff turnover at Dinewell started to reach at a horrible level of 25% within the spam of 6 months. As a result of this, Dinewell downsized manpower instead of refilling the manpower gap to at least achieve his cost targets as the only solution left. (20)

a.     Was downsizing staff to reduce the cost the only solution left for Dinewell? Could there be another strategic move taken related to performance &amp; rewards? Please explain and support your opinion?
