My selected article is titled "The Importance Of Omnichannel Marketing," by Alex Quin for Forbes.

Omnichannel marketing aims to bring a seamless shopping experience for the customer by utilizing a multichannel sales approach. As opposed to a universal brand experience, this advertising strategy is based upon a customer's behavior and interaction which promulgates the next thing they see; no two customers have a duplicate experience.

How It Works

Customers to connect with a brand through any of its current channels. Once a customer engages with a brand by visiting a website or clicking an ad, each of their social channels is now a tool for communicating the brand message. These channels now update the customer's previous experience with the brand; each touchpoint creates a unified experience for prospects, making communicating and engaging with your brand extremely convenient.

Summary

Omnichannel marketing allows the brand to remain relevant and competitive in a crowded market. As the digital landscape grows, omnichannel marketing your brand to connect with customers through a personalized experience which can quite possibly turn them into lifelong customers (Quin, 1).

My experiences as a customer, most specifically an online digital media customer, support the statements within this article. I had not known that the pop-up ads and promotions I viewed from scrolling through one website were the products of an omnichannel marketing experience, but indeed, it was. Emails from online vendors and strategically placed informational content were also symptoms of my omnichannel marketing experience; now I know.

The ideas in this Forbes article reinforce the marketing efforts I'd hoped to incorporate into my selected business, Fairfax Alternative. Pop-up incentives for visitors to my website, emails with information and offers, and reviews and referrals from repeat customers are all effective omnichannel marketing tools I'd hoped to utilize. Perhaps we'll touch upon this in Assignment #3.

Yes, brand alignment across channels is addressed in this article. In fact, this is the objective of omnichannel marketing; if brand alignment has not been achieved, then perfect omnichannel has not been accomplished. Please reference the "How it works" and "What are some of those channels portions of my summary.
