asks you visit them in the bacteriology lab and when you get there, they are working on a urine culture with a bacteria that is swarming (the most common bacteria for swarming), a colorless colony on a MacConkey plate and it really smells bad.  Your friend knows you had a microbiology lab, so they tell you the bacteria has a positive H 2 S, positive urease test, a positive indole test, a positive xylose test, a negative arabinose test, a negative ornithine test and a positive gelatinase test.  She asks you, what is the bacteria?  So, what is the bacteria? Genus and species3.Since you got that answer correct, your friend now thinks you are an expert, so they ask you a few more questions and to identify the bacteria with the following characteristics: very pink on a MacConkey plate including a pink precipitate in the agar with a dry colony (not moist or mucoid), does not smell like the other bacteria above and is indole test positive.

-You can't seem  to get away from Madagascar or the lab work.  One day you receive a wound sample taken from the groin area from a patient who fell out of a palm tree.  You take a swab that you collected from the wound and plate it on both an EMB plate and a BAP.  The growth at 24 hours is a white colony on the BAP and green sheen colony on the EMB.
