The data collection for this study was done patiently and skillfully due to sensitive and high precision recruitment nature of data that was being collected. The collection involved use of the continuous performance test (II) to monitor medication and treatment effectiveness (CPT-II) test. (Lesiuk, 2015) The test was computer administered by the research only on all patients to increase the consistency in administering the test. The data collected directly through a computer was specially software. That is, (SPSS) version 22 rendering the entire collection process being done using computer tools. Data collected analyzed the effect of various mindfulness-based music therapy (MBMT) techniques on participant's attention over time and similarly to mood. The data analysis method was replicated severally on different sets of collected data to utilize comparative analysis. Through this, more precise and empirical results were attained. Permission to collect the research was sought from the Sylvester comprehensive cancer Centre, part of the university of Miami health system and the administration of Miami all in Florida. (Lesiuk, 2015). The participants of the study were indeed participating in a research, the intent of the research, all the procedures and methods that were to be used, and also had their confidentiality affirmed.
In this study 15 women have been diagnosed with breast cancer stage I-III. The statistical figure of 15 was selected due to strategic efficiency of gathering substantive data and effectively managing the study all concurrently. (Lesiuk, 2015). The women were recruited from one cancer center to preserve uniformity of the study. Having been diagnosed with stage I-III, cancer was used as a recruitment criteria since the period was pre-dominantly associated with adjuvant chemotherapy treatment therefore increasing precision of results obtained from the selected sample. In my judgment, the study sample lacked quantity merit as compared to the importance and relevance of the study it was to carry. It is pretty easy to understand that the idea of determining facts on a condition in thousands of people using a sample of just 15 is unorthodox. (Lesiuk, 2016). In my judgment, the selection criteria did not adequately meet all the ethno-geographic and demographic and social economic thresholds for selecting a sample to be used in a research of this magnitude. However, the sample was still able to deliver on its intended objective and thus contributed to the successful pilot study
