I am struggling with forming a proper PICOT question....I have one formulated, yet my professor gave me some insight on how to improve the question. Could you help me formulate a very well organized PICOT question based on the following:
my current community which I serve I have the following PICOT question:
(P) - The Navajo people in the Fort Defiance area suffering from heart failure or recent cardiac events in the age range of 35-65 years old. Would the development of a Cardiac Wellness Center benefit the overall health, readmission rates, and the decrease in cardiac events (I). The comparison would be the amount readmissions prior to and during the cardiac wellness program. (O) The outcome would provide proof of decrease in readmission rates, and an overall improvement in health status in the community. The time to determine the impact on readmission rates and overall health would be over a 6 month period (T).

Greetings Henrick, you have chosen yet another excellent focus for your capstone project. I would ask you to align the elements of your focus identified in your P ("overall health, readmission rates, and the decrease in cardiac events") with your I, and O. In both the I and O you would need to address these terms ("overall health, readmission rates, and the decrease in cardiac events"). My recommendation would be to narrow "overall health" or remove and only focus on "readmission rates, and the decrease in cardiac events". All of which you need a way to measure. Dr. C
