Case Study Need - Activity and Exercise
Robert, age 58, lives with his wife in a 2 storey home. Recently, he has been feeling quite exhausted while taking his daily walks. "I cannot even walk for 30 minutes without feeling out of breath." Two days ago, he fell off a ladder at work and fractured his left leg. He was released from the hospital with the following orders: left leg in a cast, crutches, and NWB for three weeks.
Robert is mad with himself for not being more careful at work. He told his wife, "This is my second fracture in 2 years." Today at home, Robert was not able to go to the bathroom on his own. Although he was using the crutches, he still needed some support from his wife. He is anxious to "go back to normal functioning." Robert told his wife that he is planning to return to work as soon as possible. His wife is very supportive.
