"Local Environmental Group Torches SUVs at Three Dealerships"
The citizens of the community you live and work in have long held up environmental issues as critically important. As a result, many environmental protection groups have sprouted up, the great majority of them with very peaceful intentions. However, one group has decided to up the ante and send a stronger message. Overnight, eco-terrorists set ablaze several dozen SUVs at three local dealerships, to protest what they view as the terrible damage such vehicles do to the environment. While no specific group has yet to take credit for the attack, an anonymous letter stating the motivation behind the attacks was sent to every local, and several national media outlets shortly after the attack. You are the Chief of the local police department. What is your first action as a result of these eco-attacks? What outside law enforcement groups, if any, do you attempt to call in to aid in bringing the perpetrators to justice? In the anonymous letter, the group responsible promises more attacks in the very near future, including attacks beyond your local region. What do you do to attempt to prevent future attacks in your own jurisdiction, and what action do you take, if any, to try and warn law enforcement beyond your area?
