• Take two job applicants - Jane and Robert - who are applying for two positions
• (1) Supervisor
• (2) Secretary
• Jane is more qualified for the supervisor position than Robert
• However, Jane is also more qualified for the secretary role than Robert and, were Robert to be hired as secretary, he would not perform well because, being a chauvinist, will have difficulty tolerating Jane as a supervisor
