I am confused as to how to approach this question. Spacetime diagrams are tricky.

2. Captain Kirk on board the Starship Enterprise spots a Romulan ship fly past him at 0.75c.
3.0 seconds later, a Klingon ship passes, chasing the Romulans at 0.90c.
(a) Captain Kirk sees that the Romulan ship is 125m long. How long does the Romulan
ship appear to the Klingons?
(b) How long after passing the Enterprise does the Klingon ship catch up to the Romulans
(according to the Romulan time-keeper?)
(c) Draw a spacetime diagram (neatly: use graph paper or a plotting program) showing the
trajectories of Captain Kirk, the Romulans and the Klingons in the reference frame of
the Enterprise. Take x = ct =0 to be when the Romulans passes the Enterprise.
(d) The Enterprise decides to fire their photon torpedoes, such that they collide with the Ro-
mulans and Klingons at the time where the two of them meet. Clearly photon torpedoes
travel at the speed of light. When should Captain Kirk fire the torpedoes?
