Can someone please help me to explain these questions? I really do not understand for this chapter... could please
also summarize why the needle of compass always point different to the pole of magnet? Like I did an experiment which is about the needle of compass forms a magnetic field from south to north pole of magnet but I dont understand... A lot of big thanks...
1) What are the unit of magnetic dipole and magnetic pole?
(is it the unit for dipole is N/m^2 and pole is Am?)
2) When correctly oriented to produce a zero field region the bar magnet should be aligned so its north pole is toward the north or is it the south?
3) The magnetic field of the earth is not horizontal at Kalamazoo, it comes into the earth at some angle. Since this is the case, how to determine the zero field region? How does this affect the value obtained for µ?
